Director General Home Guards, Civil Defence, Fire & Emergency Services and State Disaster Response Force, Government of Chattisgarh

  • Home Guard :-
    On December 06, 1946, the home guards were set up in Bombay (the current Mumbai) to control the immediate needs like riots etc. As the largest self-service organization in the country, the establishment of the Home Guard was established in 1947 under C.P. and Barar Nagar Sena Act, 1947. Its main purpose is to help the police force maintain law and order.
  • Fire and Emergency Service :-
    Fire and Emergency services were set up in the year 2016 to protect fire incidents in the state. As per the directions of the government, the fire Station  of the urban body are being taken under fire and emergency services.
  • State Disaster Response force :-
    In The State, State Disaster Response force were set up in the year 2016 with  07 team.  05 team Posted in Divisional headquarters  and 02 team Posted in Training centre Raipur and Training centre Parsada Bilaspur.
  • Civil Defence :-
    Civil Defence set up was during Second World War  civilian to protect population's lives and their property, to protect natural calamities and terrorist activities to help Administration, presently  civil defence activities rendering their services to 36 state/UT and 225 cities.
